WHAT'S NEW

Welcome back to golf!

- MRC GOLF Press Release - June 06, 2011

Welcome back to golf!

With the 2011 season well underway, we at Mitsubishi Rayon have much to celebrate, and even more to look forward to. With 6 early season wins and our new products shipping on time into the market, we are looking forward to the warmer weather... we hope you are as well.

In case you missed it, at this year's 2011 trade show in Orlando, Florida, Mitsubishi Rayon debuted three new high performance products to add to our current lineup: the JAVLNFX™ Y-Series, the BASSARA™ W-Series, and the FUBUKI™ HYBRID/IRON series.

The JAVLNFX Y-Series is the perfect lightweight addition to the performance oriented JAVLNFX Series. This new profile incorporates a similar blend of conventional and innovative materials used throughout the JAVLNFX Series to maximize the performance of this unique 50 gram profile. Offering a mid-high trajectory, combined with surprising stability and control, the new Y-Series provides the versatility to suit players of all skill levels.

The BASSARA W-Series, another ultra lightweight profile from Mitsubishi Rayon, incorporates the same elastic titanium fibers first used in the BASSARA G-Series profile launched in January of 2010. The unique elastic characteristics of this fiber - combined with the proprietary W-Series bend profile - helps deliver more speed at impact than typical lightweight shafts. In addition, the W-Series profile's extreme lightweight platform combined with the 47" length provides players of all ability the opportunity to push the limits of lightweight shafts performance and overall club length if desired.

The FUBUKI FW/HYBRID/IRON SERIES: The new FW/HYBRID/IRON Series of shafts by Mitsubishi Rayon allow players of all abilities to build a perfectly matched set of shafts - Driver, Fairway Wood, Iron, and now Hybrid. The series incorporates our latest amorphous Carbon Fiber design in the tip section to minimize the traditional disadvantage associated with high-performance carbon fiber hybrid shafts yet delivers a more consistent and repeatable dynamic launch angle.

So whether you are looking to revamp your game, sizing up a new driver or set of irons, be sure to give our team of experts a call at 1-877-MRC-0001. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have about any of our products and what profiles are best for you.

Good luck with your upcoming Spring and Summer plans and be sure to watch for Mitsubishi Rayon brands on tour - it should be a good season!

Q. How is the new FUBUKI HYBRID Series being received on the various professional Tours?

A. "The new FW/HYBRID/Iron has been a secret "Dark Horse" on the professional tours in 2011. The FW/HYBRID/Iron marry's the benefits of a fairway wood with the accuracy and consistency of an iron. Players using the FW/HYBRID/Iron have commented on its' "consistent feel" and "accuracy unmatched to any other hybrid shaft I've played." - Philip Foster - MRC Golf Inc, Tour and Marketing Representative

Q. How does the recently launched BASSARA W-Series profile compare to the BASSARA G-Series profile by Mitsubishi Rayon? Both incorporate the Elastic TiNi Fiber technology yet have different bend profiles?

A. "I recently tested both the BASSARA Ultralite W-Series and the BASSARA G-Series in identical builds to better understand the differences between the two profiles. After having a series of good players test both shafts I found that as advertised, the G-Series tends to launch slightly higher than the W-Series shaft. Both have similar spin. In the end, although the carry for both shafts was nearly identical, the lower flight of the W-Series did result in longer total distance yet a slightly larger dispersion. It appears to me that these two UltraLight shaft profiles from Mitsubishi Rayon provide fitter's a great tool for fine tuning ball flight performance and giving players looking to maximize lightweight shaft technology a variety of performance options. I can't wait do further testing at longer lengths to push the envelope of the W-Series's 47" structure!" - Russ Ryden, Fit 2 Score, Southlake, TX (Authorized Mitsubishi Rayon Dealer).
